These Terms of Service outline the agreement between J Allan Contracts (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and the client (“you”) for any building, landscaping, or related services provided by us. 1. Services Provided
J Allan Contracts offers a range of services including, but not limited to, garden landscaping, patio areas, driveway installations, monoblocking, and custom outdoor designs. All services are delivered directly by Jamie Allan, a sole trader with over 15 years of experience in the trade.
We aim to provide high-quality workmanship, using materials and methods agreed upon during your consultation. Any additional work not included in the original quote may be subject to a revised cost.
2. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes provided are free and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices are based on the information provided and the measurements taken at your location. Any significant changes to the project scope may result in an updated quote.
A deposit may be required to secure your booking. Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Consultations & Site Visits
Before any work begins, we will carry out a site visit to assess your space, take measurements, and discuss your design preferences. Jamie will personally walk you through available options and provide recommendations suited to your needs and budget.
4. Cancellations & Delays
If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. Delays caused by weather, unforeseen site conditions, or supply issues may affect the project timeline—we will always keep you informed and work to complete the job as efficiently as possible.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide clear access to the worksite and ensure the area is free of obstructions. If access to water, electricity, or waste disposal is required, this should be discussed in advance.
Any planning permissions, boundary issues, or legal requirements remain your responsibility as the property owner.
6. Liability
While every care is taken to protect your property during works, we cannot accept liability for damage caused by pre-existing issues (e.g., unstable ground, drainage problems, hidden utilities) or matters beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather).
J Allan Contracts holds public liability insurance to cover damage or injury caused by our direct actions during the course of the work.
7. Warranties
Workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This covers defects resulting from our labour but does not include natural wear and tear, weather damage, or misuse.
Any product warranties (e.g., paving materials) are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
8. Photos & Testimonials
With your consent, we may take before-and-after photos of completed projects to use in our portfolio or on our website and social media. We may also request a review or testimonial once the work is complete, but this is entirely optional.
9. Website Use
All content on https://jallancontracts.com is owned by J Allan Contracts. You may view and share content for personal use, but reproduction or commercial use without permission is prohibited.
